A message to all our festival-goers...
It is with reluctance that we are unfortunately postponing the first edition of WAX LYRICAL music literature festival due to the current pandemic of Covid 19. The festival was due to take place in twelve venues across London between 1-7 June.
As the current government advice regarding venues and social gatherings is in place for the foreseeable future we feel that it is only right to consider this now and to offer our ticket buyers a full refund. These can be obtained through venues and our ticket partner, Ticketweb.
The organisers would like to thank the authors, musicians, managers, agents, labels and publishers who contributed to making this first festival and we are planning a number of events which will take place over the coming months to continue what we have set up.
Our aim is to present the festival as soon as possible as we originally intended including readings, concerts, screenings and podcasts.
We will continue to keep you informed via our website, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and look forward to informing you about the festival in the future.
Wax Lyrical will launch and host it's first week of events this summer in venues across London. The festival will celebrate the works of an exciting and eclectic group of artists, musicians, poets and authors across all manner of genres with one thing in common: a passion for music and insights into the literature of music that will amuse, intrigue, inspire and amaze. We will host talks, Q&As, live music events, readings and spoken word performances. The week-long programme, in format, is the first to be held in the UK. Book your tickets now!
