Kevin Le Gendre is a journalist, broadcaster and writer with a special interest in black music. Deputy editor of Echoes, he contributes to a wide range of publications that include Jazzwise, MusicWeek, Vibrations and The Independent On Sunday and also appears as a commentator and critic on radio programmes such as BBC Radio 3's Jazz Line-Up and BBC Radio 4's Front Row. Kevin will be performing at Wax Lyrical festival alongside other Peepal Tree greats.

Roger Robinson is a writer and performer who lives between London and Trinidad. His first full poetry collection, The Butterfly Hotel, was shortlisted for ‘The OCM Bocas Poetry Prize’. He has toured extensively with the British Council and is a co-founder of both Spoke Lab and the international writing collective Malika’s Kitchen.

Anthony Joseph is a Trinidad-born poet, novelist, academic and musician who resides in London. He is the author of Kitch, which was shortlisted for the ‘Republic of Consciousness Prize’, ‘The African Origins of UFOs’, and four poetry collections, Bird Head Son, Desafinado, Rubber Orchestras and Teragaton. THE FREQUENCY OF MAGIC is his third novel. Anthony is also Jerwood Compton Poetry Fellow for 2019-2020 and is particularly well versed on topics such as contemporary poetry and spoken word, Black British writing, and Afro-Caribbean, jazz and funk music.
